The 2008-09 Season
Next season will feature some exciting new events and partnerships. El Paseo will continue its Arts and Heritage Series with the Museums of Port Isabel, expand its partnership with UTB/TSC, and host another wonderful show from the Camille Playhouse. Wal-Mart has donated $1,000 to help sponsor an educational program as part of the ETA-3 concert in November. Laguna Vista's Parks Board is working with El Paseo to bring more arts events to their community and one of El Paseo's founding members has been appointed to Port Isabel's Community Center Committee to work with them on plans to expand/enhance the facililty, perhaps to make it more "art friendly". The Valley Symphony will be working with El Paseo for the first time this season to share their music with Laguna Madre residents and visitors. El Paseo will continue its positive relationship with the Laguna Madre Art League to assist them in showcasing their work, and this year the Foundation hopes to partner with the library to sponsor literary arts events and perhaps an arts weekend showcasing a variety of art forms.
